Teenage Cancer Trust Complete New Ward (Posted on 27/03/2009)
Teenage Cancer Trust Complete New Ward The Teenage Cancer Trust have recently converted a ward at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill into a Teenage Cancer Trust Unit. The unit will treat cancer patients aged 13 to 16 from the west of Scotland and contains 6 in-patient beds, an open plan recreational space, a kitchen and dining area, broadband connectivity and cutting edge computing, gaming and entertainment equipment. Teenagers using the unit will be able to build friendships with others in a similar situation to help them cope with their disease while specialist staff who understand the unique needs of this age group will provide support to both patients and families.

Eden Project
Eden Project Eden is delighted to announce that their partnership with UNICEF has now been confirmed. Eden Europe has committed 50,000 euros to the UNICEF ‘Gardo’ project. Gardo is located on the Sool plateau, in the Karkaar region of Somalia.

Eden Rocks London
Eden Rocks London In the month of July, as the sun was splitting the sky, Eden Springs was on hand to hydrate the good people of London. For three days Eden set up home in Canary Wharf, Hyde Park, Paddington and Victoria Station and, with the help of our four lovely Eden girls, brought a smile to a hot and thirsty general public.

Halloween
Halloween Halloween is defi ned as the evening preceding All Hallows or All Saints’ Day. Well there were certainly no saints in the Sales offi ce at Blantyre on Fri 2nd Nov when we all dressed up and celebrated Halloween with an array of characters from Tweety-pie and Wallyman to the naughty devil and a tavern’s wench to Edward Scissorhands!

Keeping Kids Hydrated Here at Eden we are delighted to help local good causes, and when a request came in to help a local Sports Coaching event, we didn’t hesitate to assist. Students from Motherwell College, HND Sports Coaching course were required as part of their course to plan, promote and manage a sports event, for which they required the provision of bottled water. We kindly donated 500ml bottled water and big cups for their use.

Navy Days
Navy Days Eden were invited to supply the Royal Navy staff, who were involved in the security and running of Navy days over the August bank holiday weekend with an amount of small pack water to keep them hydrated throughout the event. In turn we were given a stand within Plymouth Naval Base to present our wares to the public and express the Well Being theme throughout Devon & Cornwall.
